Fettleworks · Websites, forged in the Calder Valley
Bespoke, hand-built websites for local businesses. Tell us your business name today and see a real, working site at a live link, usually the same day. No template, no card, no catch.
No obligation. If it's not for you, we take it down. No hard feelings.
How it works
01 · Stoke
Your business name and town. That's genuinely all we need to start. We find your public photos, reviews and opening hours ourselves. No forms, no homework, no meetings.
02 · Forge
We design your site from scratch: your real photos, your real reviews, a look built around your business (never a template), then send you a live link, usually within the day.
03 · Fettle
Love it? We polish it with you, put it on your own web address, and keep it in fine fettle. Don't? It goes back in the furnace and you've spent nothing.

The workshop
Fettleworks is Ashley: a one-person web workshop in Ripponden, West Yorkshire. No account managers, no ticket queues, no offshore anything. The person who forges your site is the person who answers when you call.
The way we work is simple: show, don't pitch. Big agencies want a discovery call and a deposit before you see a thing. We'd rather build the site first and let it speak for itself. If it's not right, it costs you nothing but the look.

Questions, answered straight
Because it's how we'd rather win work. Building your example costs us an afternoon; a discovery call, a proposal document and three rounds of "circling back" would cost us more. If you love the site, you'll want it live and we both win. If you don't, we take it down and part as friends. The site does the selling, or nobody does.
Your business name and your town. We build the example from what's already public: your photos, your reviews, your opening hours. You don't need to write a word or dig out a single photo (though if you have better ones, we'll happily use them later).
Usually, yes. Ask in the morning, click your link by evening. Occasionally it's the next day if the forge is busy. Either way you'll know when to expect it.
You do. Once it's yours, the domain is registered in your name and stays yours. If you ever leave, you take it with you. No hostage-taking, no exit fees.
Great, we wire it straight into the site so people can book in one tap. But it's worth knowing what they cost you: Booksy runs about £40 a month, and Fresha takes 20% of a new client's first booking when they find you through its marketplace, plus card fees. The Full Works includes your own booking system built into the site for £12 a month flat, with no commission on anything, ever.
On The Full Works it's covered: the £12/month includes new photos, price changes, opening hours and fresh reviews whenever you need them. On Make It Yours there's no monthly fee at all, and you can add the same care for £5/month if you'd like it hands-off. Bigger jobs (a new page, an online shop) are priced up front, and always agreed before we lift a hammer.
To fettle, in proper Yorkshire, is to mend something and put it in fine working order. It's also what a smith does to a casting fresh out of the mould. That's the job: we forge your website, then we keep it in fine fettle.
Light the forge
Two fields and you're done. We'll send your live link, usually the same day. And if it's not for you, one word takes it down.
